About Us
Our Mission Statement
Mount of Olives Adult Day Care Center is a Christ centered social model day care s
pecializing in care of seniors with mild cases of Alzheimer’s related illnesses, as
well as seniors needing a supervised day program. We provide mentally, physically
and spiritually stimulating activities run by enthusiastic staff and volunteers. We
strive to preserve the dignity and independence of the seniors, as well as support
and education for their caregivers.
Goals
Our program incorporates working with the whole person. We try to make have an
enriching, dignified and fun day for each senior. Our goals are to keep them performing
daily activities independently as long as possible, working at the highest level that
they can, and interacting with others on a social level.
Special Programs
Our staff is certified to conduct Memories In The Making Classes, an art class created
by the Alzheimer's Association. Our participants’ paintings have been used as fund
raisers and featured in the Alzheimer's Association Calendar. We also lead a daily
PACE exercise program (People with Arthritis Can Exercise). PACE focuses on stretching
and range of motion exercises. Our staff is certified through the Arthritis Association
to lead the in-chair exercises.
